William O. Ferebee, 91, of the 200 block of Median Circle died Feb. 18, 1997, in Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, Norfolk.
A retired security officer at the Norfolk Naval Shipyard with 50 years service, Mr. Ferebee was a Norfolk native and the widower of Viola C. Ferebee. He was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church, Portsmouth.
Survivors include a son, William O. Ferebee Jr. of Portsmouth; and other relatives and friends.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday in Ebenezer Baptist Church, Portsmouth, by the Rev. Ben A. Beamer Sr. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park, Chesapeake. Viewing at Corprew Funeral Home, Portsmouth, will begin at noon today. The family will be at the home of his son, William O. Ferebee Jr., 136 Elm Ave., Portsmouth. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 12:15 p.m. Monday for the procession to the church. The body will be taken to the church at 10 a.m. Monday.
