Margaret Lewis Jordan, 80, of the 800 block of Poplar Hall Drive, died Nov. 15, 1997, in a local hospital.
Born in Norfolk, she was the widow of Charles Ernest Jordan Sr. She retired as astatistician for the city of Norfolk Police Department after 28 years of work.
Survivors include two sons, Charles E. Jordan Jr. of Roswell, Ga., and W. Lewis Jordan of Norfolk; a sister, Barbara M. Trafton of Vero Beach, Fla.; three grandchildren, Lorie Strickland of Raleigh, N.C., Andrew Jordan and Christopher Jordan, both of Portsmouth; and a great-granddaughter, Jordan M. Strickland of Raleigh. She was preceded in death by her parents, the former city of Norfolk Fire Chief William Joseph Lewis and Lena Morgan Lewis.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Bayside Chapel, by Dr. Tim Dixon. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4 to 6 p.m. today. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
