Benjamin Netanyahu will be the next prime minister of Israel.
The final un-official results of the election were announced this morning.
Netanyahu edged out Shimon Peres with less than one percent of the vote.

There's some talk today that the convictions of the three defendants in
the Whitewater trial could be overturned.
Defense attorneys say it's possible based on one juror's admission that a
newspaper article she read before the trial likely colored her opinion of the

Roanoke's Festival in the Park has been ordered to let a would-be candidate
for Congress pass out literature.
Jay Rutledge was told to leave the park last weekend, threatened with
arrest by an off-duty, uniformed city police officer.
The Festival's attorney claims Rutledge and his political petition threaten
to ruin the event.

out" has died.
A friend says Timothy Leary passed away today at his Beverly Hills,
California home today.
He was diagnosed with prostate cancer last year.
The former Harvard professor advocated the use of L-S-D and spent much of
his life in trouble with the law.
Leary was 75.
Doctors in San Diego today expect to announce their plans for separating
conjoined twin boys.
The twins are linked from chest to the abdomen.

separated twin girls who'd been attached at the abdomen.

The twins will probably stay in the hospital for two more weeks.
Meantime, another surgery, this one a kidney operation in Massachusetts, may
turn out to be a medical horror story.
Today's "Boston Herald" reports that last week doctors in Quincy removed a
patient's good kidney instead of the bad one.
There's no word on the name or gender of the patient but a hospital
spokeswoman says the person is listed in good condition.
The paper says state medical and health authorities are investigating.

Pregnancy Prevention has come up with a plan.

On the last day of May residents of Sparksboro are shoveling snow, six
inches to be exact.
Temperatures in Sparksboro at this time of the year would normally be in the

Leman (lee-MON) Dudley, a local businesswoman, has spent close to a MILLION
dollars renovating the building where a store named Mish- Mish used to be.
Dudley has redone all three floors.
There's room now for as many as eight stores inside.
The building has a variety of artistic touches, including skylights and
