Awards to Rhododendrons

My attention has been drawn to the statement on page 71, No. 2 of Vol. 11 April, 1957, Bulletin of the American Rhododendron Society: "In England, if anyone has the same cross that has received an A.M. or F.C.C., he may use the award letters in connection with his plant."
I fear that that statement is not in accordance with the facts. The award applies only to the plant which was before the Committee when the award was recommended and to that particular plant's vegetatively produced offspring.
No doubt you will wish to take an early opportunity to correct the erroneous statement.
