QBARS - v35n1 Dr. Jack Evans Resigns

Dr. Jack Evans Resigns
By Fred C. Galle

I have received a very unfortunate letter from Dr. Jack Evans stating that due to his health, he is tendering his resignation as Western Vice President and it is with deep disappointment that he will not be able to take on the presidency in 1981.
I know that Jack and Fleurett have given this a great deal of thought. Jack has been a real supporter of ARS through the years and we know that his interest is still with the Society. I know you will join me in wishing him well. We will look forward to being with him in April at the meeting in California.
I'm very sorry to have to send this report. We all send our sympathies and our prayers to Dr. Evans and wish him a speedy recovery.
