'Lodestar' ( R. catawbiense var. album x 'Belle Heller') hybridized by David Leach. Plant 52" h x 60" w in 9 years. Foliage, medium olive green, 155mm x 50mm. Truss, ball shape, 10-23 flowers of pale purplish pink, open funnel form 70mm x 65mm. Rated 5/4. Extremely hardy over 6 years in Wooster, Ohio Test Garden.

'Swansdown' ( R. catawbiense var. album x 'Belle Heller'). Hybridizer, David Leach. Plant 62" h x 70" w in 10 years. Leaves: elliptic, 155 mm x 65 mm, medium olive green. Ball shaped truss of 16-14 open funnel shaped flowers, 90 mm diam. x 70 mm length, opening pale purplish pink fading to white. Rated 4/5.
Portland Chapter:
'Calapooya' ('Hugh Wormald' x 'Marion Merriman'). Hybridized by Howard Slonecker. Plant upright open habit, 8' h x 5' w in 20 years. Elliptic leaves 2¾" x 1½", light green, slightly bronzed. Ball truss of 7-11 widely funnel shaped flat faced flowers, 4" diam. x 1½" length, color, yellow orange group 19B fading to 27D, 24B on upper petals. Rated 4/4.
'Wallowa Red' New Zealand hybrid of unknown parentage. J.S. Yeates hybridizer. Howard Slonecker exhibitor. Plant 6' h x 4' w in 14 yrs. Leaves elliptic, light green, some bronzing. Ball truss, 10-11 widely funnel shaped flowers in the 46A red group RHS color chart.

). Hybridizer, Warren Berg. Plant 2' x 2½' wide in 12 years, dwarf habit. Leaves: elliptic, 1¾" x ¾", green 137B. Ball trusses of 5 flowers, multiple terminal trusses, up to 25 flowers. Flowers open funnel, ¾-1" diam. x ½-1" long. Color: white with red group 55D RHS color chart. Rated 5/5.
'Patty Bee' ( R. keiskei x R. fletcherianum ). Hybrid by Warren Berg. Plant 15½" h x 30" w in 11 years, dwarf habit. Leaves 1½" x ¾", elliptic, green 137B. Flowers, yellow 2C, 2" diam. x 1" length, open funnel shape. Ball shape flat topped truss. Quality rating 5/5.
