New Zealand Rhododendron Association to Host Conference in Rotorua

The New Zealand Rhododendron Association will hold its Annual Conference, "Rhododendrons in the Thermal Wonderland," Oct. 28-31, 2003, in Rotorua.
Featured will be rhododendron gardens and world class New Zealand speakers Jack Hobbs, curator of the Auckland Regional Botanic Gardens, Ian Baldick, well known for his yellow magnolia hybrids, and vireya specialist John Kenyon of Te Puna Cottage Gardens. In addition, gardens in the Tauranga area can be visited during the "Day in the Bay" tour. Activities to pursue in the evenings include concerts, gondola rides, cruises on Lake Rotorua and a visit to the Polynesian Thermal Pools. A post-conference tour to Auckland gardens has also been arranged.
