Text Responses (13 for this question)
"E-Reserve seems like a teacher's "lazy way out." Whenever they don't want to print something to hand out..."It's on E-Reserve." Maybe I'm a traditionalist, but I like my teachers to be more involved with their students learning...It seems to remove myself from my professors even more....it makes me feel like I'm even MORE of a number! (Question 17 - Neither. I have DSL service from an outside source)"
"From home many of the articles took 30-40 minutes to download on a 28.8 connection. This is way too long. Find a way to make the documents smaller so they are more modem friendly."
"I can never get my assignments from e-reserve at home. This is extremely inconvenient for me, and I'm beginning to wish I didn't have to use e-reserve. I have to connect by proxy which makes me have to wait a long, long time just to not even get the assignment! This has happened to me a lot of times."
"I definitely think all instructors should be required to use E-reserve if they do not already access their own web page. E-reserve is very helpful to students in many aspects of learning. I have found it very helpful using this service in Introductory to Sociology with Mr. Hughes. I wish all my teachers were as advanced in technology as he is."
"I juat Want the ability to access all materials off a school server. Such as if I am at home and I want to look at a reading, I should be able to login and download it."
"If powerpoint presentations are on the e-reserve, then in order to print them, shareware such as fine print needs to be readily available to students, so mass wasting of paper doesnt happen"
"if the instructor has given us the webpage link, E-reserve is great, but if they haven't, it is a pain to go through all the steps to find the page, and sometimes difficult."
"Link the e-reserve to the class homepage!"
"Professors should be required to have material on e-reserve"
"Too many links necessary to get to e-reserve page. Otherwise fine."
"very useful i wish all teachers used it."
"Websites for each class is better... allows for more personalized and detailed infoto be posted, and quickerto access"
"While e-reserve may be easy for me to use, many others lives are made easier, I'm sure, by being able to check out materials from the reserve desk. So, I wouldn't want those individuals to be left behind in a trail of internet dust!!"
