CALIFORNIA CHAPTER
Bronze Medal: Elaine Sedlack
You have always been a most enthusiastic member and leader. You have been generous with your plants, your time, and especially your knowledge. California Chapter and The American Rhododendron Society are fortunate to have you in its organization. For many years you have been a mainstay in our Shows. Your guidance on our Board of Directors has been most helpful, and the results of your tenure as Cal Chapter President have been invaluable. At the same time, you have acted as Plant Chairman and Program Chairman, and you have provided Cal Chapter with the finest programs. California Chapter is pleased to honor you with its highest award. June 17, 2010.

SOUTHWESTERN OREGON CHAPTER
Bronze Medal: Pete and Candy Baumer
The membership of Southwestern Oregon Chapter of the American Rhododendron Society wishes to express their gratitude to Pete and Candy Baumer for their hard work and contributions to the Chapter. Pete and Candy joined the Society in 1989 and have been avid collectors of rhododendrons ever since. Pete has been an able leader of our flower show for several years with Candy acting as co-chairman. He has also been an ambassador for the Chapter by serving as a judge for our sister chapter in Florence, Oregon. Both he and Candy have served as judges at the Fort Bragg show also. He is a hauler of plants, provider of plants for auctions at our Chapter meetings and a charming and cajoling auctioneer. Pete and Candy have been generous in opening their garden and home for picnics and garden visits. It is a distinct pleasure to present Bronze Medals, our highest award, in acknowledgement of their dedication to Pete and Candy Baumer on this date of July 10, 2010.

Bronze Medal: Marjene MacIntyre
The membership of Southwestern Oregon Chapter of the American Rhododendron Society wishes to recognize someone who has faithfully served the Chapter in her quiet, cheerful and willing way. She has long been a provider of housing for speakers and show judges, a hostess for any number of Chapter events, all done with grace. She has also been a true helpmate for her husband Bob. Since she has been the newsletter publisher the newsletter has increased from a one page meeting notice to a four or five page colorful artistic production enjoyed by many outside of our own Chapter. She creates notices for our events and sees that anyone who has an email address receives copies. We are delighted to present the Bronze Medal to Marjene MacIntyre with love and affection.
