Candidates' forum set

The Virginia Tech Faculty Senate is sponsoring a forum between House of Delegate and State Senate candidates on Tuesday, Oct. 3.

Beginning at 7:30 p.m., the two-hour-long forum will feature State Senate candidates Madison Marye and Pat Cupp, and House of Delegates candidates James Shuler and Larry Linkous.

The Faculty Senate forum will focus on issues relating to higher-education funding in Virginia, the role of higher education in economic development, and the special role Virginia Tech plays in Virginia's system of higher education. Candidates will respond to questions from the audience.
