Leona Dunham, an 89-year-old woman injured Nov. 10, was not
bitten by a neighbor's Rottweiler as reported in a Dec. 1 Beacon
article. The wounds she received to her arm were not punctures that
would have been left by the dog's teeth. They might instead have
been caused by the dog scratching her, but Dunham does not recall
exactly what happened. A teenage neighbor found Dunham lying on the
ground next to a fence where the dog lives and is kept chained.
