Alma Nantz Matson, 72, died Feb. 23, 1997, in a local nursing home.
Born in Belmont, N.C., she was the widow of Kenneth Matson and a homemaker.
Survivors include a sister-in-law, Ruth Nantz of North Carolina; three sisters, Mrs. Lena Wallace of Minnesota, Mrs. Hazeline Bailey of Powder Springs, Ga., Mrs. Mae Sanders of Charlotte, N.C.; a nephew, Mark Nantz; three nieces, Patty Carter, Nita Klug and Marjorie Miles, all of Virginia; and many great-nieces and nephews.
