JAMES TROTTER JR.

James ``Buddy Row'' Trotter Jr., 72, of the 2000 block of Atlanta Ave. died Feb. 22, 1997, in Portsmouth General Hospital.

A retired self-employed carpenter, Mr. Trotter worked for more than 40 years and was a Norfolk County native and U.S. Army veteran.

Survivors include his wife, Addie Mae Trotter; three daughters, Celestine Brooks and Phyllis Trotter, both of Portsmouth, and Constance Watson of Norfolk; six sons, Tyrone Trotter, James Trotter, Calvin Trotter, Harry Trotter, all of Portsmouth, Kirk Trotter of Charlotte, N.C., and Malcolm Key of Smithfield, Va.; two sisters, Ethel White of Portsmouth and Luevinia Mundy of New York, N.Y.; six brothers, Collins Trotter, William Trotter, Ross Trotter, all of Portsmouth, Pearl Lee Trotter of Greensboro, N.C., Emory Trotter and Charles Trotter, both of New York, N.Y.; 25 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren; an aunt; two uncles; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends.

A funeral will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Friday in Pentecostal Holiness Church, Portsmouth, by Elder Thad Brinkley. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Viewing at Corprew Funeral Home will begin at noon Thursday. The body will be taken to the church at noon Friday. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
