MARGARET S. HARTT

Margaret Stone Hartt, 87, formerly of Portsmouth and Richmond, died Feb. 25, 1997, in Albuquerque, N.M.

A native of Cumberland Gap, Tenn., she was a retired teacher from the Henrico County school system and a member of Trinity Episcopal Church, Portsmouth.

Survivors include a daughter, Katherine Kincaid Hartt of Albuquerque; a son, Samuel Tolman Hartt Jr. of Ocean Isle Beach, N.C.; four grandchildren, Jennifer Caton of Birmingham, Ala., Ensign Stephen Johnson of Corpus Christi, Texas, Samuel Hartt III and Ashley Hartt of Columbia, N.C.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in Trinity Episcopal Church by the Rev. Dr. Geoffrey M. Hahneman. Burial will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park. Foster Funeral Home, Portsmouth, is handling arrangements. Memorial donations may be made to Trinity Episcopal Church Book of Remembrance. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
