RICHARD HENDREN JR.

Richard ``Dick'' Hendren Jr., 48, died Wednesday, Feb. 26, 1997, after a short illness at the Ohio State University.

He was the owner of R.R.H. & Associates of Columbus and was a board member of the Westerville Lions Club, past officer of the State of Ohio Employment Association, secretary of Thursday Nite Bowling League at the Palace, legionaire of Moose Lodge No. 1427 of Worthington, active board member of the Centerburg United Methodist Church and veteran of the U.S. Navy. Mr. Hendren was preceded in death by his father, Richard R. Hendren Sr.

Mr. Hendren is survived by his wife, Georgann; children, Katherine Ann Hendren and Richard R. Hendren III; mother and stepfather, Pat and L.P. Goodwin of Virginia Beach; stepmother, Claudia Hendren of Virginia Beach; sisters, Vicki (Larry) Blett, Wanda Bowden, Terri Begley and Sonya Hendren, all of Virginia Beach; brother, Larry (Christa) Hendren of Virginia Beach; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

A funeral will be conducted at 11:30 a.m. Saturday in Centerburg United Methodist Church, 23 Church St., Centerburg, with visitation an hour before the service. The Rev. Mark Coale will officiate. Arrangements are by Johnson-Melick-Moreland Funeral Home, Centerburg. Contributions may be made to the Hendren Children's Scholarship Fund, c/o Trustee, Kingston Malley, 89 E.
