Oliver Burton Taylor Jr., 72, died Feb. 27, 1997.
Born in Bridgeville, Del., he was retired from the U.S. Postal Service after 29 years of service. A U.S. Army veteran, Mr. Taylor was a member of Disabled American Veterans, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Moose Lodge and the American Legion. He also received two Purple Hearts.
Survivors include his wife, Virginia D. Taylor; a daughter, Deborah Lynn Taylor of Virginia Beach, and her little boy, Zazue; a son, Oliver Burton ``Skip'' Taylor III, and his wife, Melinda, of Hockley, Texas; three sisters, Isabelle Wilson and Betty Hastings, both of Seaford, Del., Jean Clemons of Covington, Va.; two granddaughters, Robyn Lynn Taylor and Tish Amy Taylor, both of Houston; a grandson, Alexander English of Hockley; and a brother-in-law, Marion Arvey of Seaford. He was predeceased by a grandson, Nichalos Eugene Lance;
Services are private, with burial in Arlington National Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Lung Association. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Lynnhaven Chapel, is handling arrangements. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
