CLAUDIA R. WHITLEY

Claudia Rowe Whitley, 76, of Hunterdale, died Feb. 28, 1997, at her home.

Ms. Whitley, the daughter of the late Clarence Crowley and Christine Driggers Pickering, was born in Jacksonville, Fla., and reared in Bennettsville, S.C. She was a homemaker, a Protestant and she loved all types of flowers and dogs.

Survivors include a sister-in-law, Lotti Q. Crowley of Norfolk; a nephew, James A. Crowley of Chesapeake; four nieces, Jean Steel of Virginia Beach, Deborah A. Whitehead of Orlando, Fla., Janice I. Clarence and Dianna L. Parkman, both of Norfolk; and a faithful dog, Doby.

A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday in Wright Funeral Home. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Norfolk. The family will receive friends from 4 to 5 p.m. today in the funeral home. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
