Billie R. Hurd of Richmond died March 2, 1997.
He is survived by his wife, Pauline; three children, Phillip W. Hurd of Atlanta, Deborah Wingfield of Williamsburg and Melissa Ann Carpenter of Virginia Beach; a daughter-in-law, Evelyn Sweet-Hurd and son-in-law, Jack J. Carpenter; eight grandchildren; two sisters, Marian Kessler and Eunice Lund; and a brother, Charles Hurd.
The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 8:30 p.m. today at the Parham Chapel of Woody Funeral Home, where a funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday. Interment will be in Westhampton Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Mount Vernon Baptist Church. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
