Dalton Washington O'Neal, 63, of Dowdys Bay Road, died at his residence on Saturday, March 1, 1997.
A native of Rodanthe, he was a pipefitter and former owner and operator of Dalton O'Neal Plumbing and Heating. He was a member of Local (NU)110 Plumbers and Fitters of Norfolk for over 40 years. He was the son of the late Frederick and Ethel Midgett O'Neal.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley Joanne Whittington O'Neal; two daughters, Sandra O'Neal of Rodanthe and Cheryl Little of Mexia, Texas; a son, Charles O'Neal of Virginia Beach; two sisters, Verona Jennings of Hertford and Brenda Ewell of Virginia Beach; two brothers, Ronnie and Gary O'Neal, both of Dare County; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the O'Neal-Midgett Family Cemetery in Rodanthe. Visitation will be from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday in Twiford's Memorial Chapel, Elizabeth City. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
