Charles Edward Jennings Sr., 76, passed away March 1, 1997, in his residence after a long, valiant battle with cancer.
Mr. Jennings was born in Victoria, Va., and was a Methodist. He was retired as an aircraft mechanic from NARF and was a Navy veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his loving wife of 49 years, Geneva Seckman Jennings; a son, Charles Edward ``Chuck'' Jennings Jr.; three sisters, Helen Smith and Thelma Cresswell, both of Virginia Beach, and Marie Whitehurst of Norfolk; and several nephews.
A memorial service will be conducted at 7 p.m. Tuesday in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, by the Rev. Paul D. Moore. Burial will be private at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
