ALVIN C. EURE

Alvin C. ``Toots'' Eure, 71, of the 6000 block of Blackwater Road, died March 1, 1997, in Chesapeake.

He was born in South Norfolk and was a retired firefighter with the Chesapeake Fire Department. He retired as a lieutenant in 1982 after 30 years. He was a member of Blackwater Baptist Church, the Chesapeake Retirees Association and Great Bridge Masonic Lodge (NU)257, AF & AM.

Survivors include his wife, Delores Eure; three daughters, Debra Ann McCarthy and Linda Marie Forbes, both of Chesapeake, and Barbara Jean Thorp of Virginia Beach; and six grandchildren.

A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Francis A. Gay Funeral Home, South Norfolk Chapel, by the Rev. Ralph Horn and the Rev. Michael Jones. Burial will be in Chesapeake Memorial Gardens. The family will be at the funeral home from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and at other times at 2306 Chesapeake Ave. in Chesapeake. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
