CHARLIE DIXON

Charlie Dixon, 79, formerly of the COGIC high rise in the 2400 block of E. Virginia Beach Blvd., died March 2, 1997, in Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.

A retired construction worker for Tidewater Construction Co., Mr. Dixon was a Norfolk native and the widower of Tinnie Mae Dixon.

Survivors include daughters Patricia Talley of Norfolk, Sharon Logan of Virginia Beach, Stanley Dixon of Chesapeake, Charlie Dixon Jr. of Norfolk, Ann Dixon of Orange, N.J., Verna Price of Snow Hill, N.C.; two sisters, Mrs. Dorothy Moore and Mary Woods of Norfolk; a brother; nine grandchildren; and a host of friends and relatives.

A graveside funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Roosevelt Memorial Park, Chesapeake. Family members only will gather at 1105 Louisa St., Norfolk, at 10 a.m. the day of the service. Hale Funeral Home is in charge. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
