Maude Guthrie Godsey, 95, formerly of Norfolk, died Sunday, March 2, 1997, in a local nursing home.
A homemaker and native of Halifax County, Va., she was the widow of Wiley W. Godsey and a member of Reedsville United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her daughter, Dorothy McKinney of Landover, Md.; son, Wiley W. Godsey of Urbanna, Va.; sister, Melissa Wingfield of Richmond; 11 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
A graveside funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Forest Lawn Cemetery by the Rev. Robert C. Hastings. The family will receive friends in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, from 5 to 7 p.m. today. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
