David A. Copeland, of the 7600 block of Gates Road, died Wednesday, March 5, 1997, in Southampton Memorial Hospital, Franklin, Va.
A native of Jersey City, N.J., he was a self-employed farmer and a member of Corinth Chapel United Church of Christ, Suffolk.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce Copeland; daughter, Dr. Joycelyn C. Gatling of Largo, Md.; three sons, David J. Copeland, Joel M. Copeland, Daryl A. Copeland of Suffolk; a sister, Albernia Lee of Suffolk; a brother, George Copeland of Jersey City; nieces and nephews; and seven grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted at noon Saturday in Corinth Chapel United Church of Christ by the Rev. Millard Boone. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Remains will be taken from Wm. M. Johnson and Sons Funeral Home to be placed for the final viewing at 11 a.m. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
