Marshall H. Saunders, 88, of Oaklette Drive died March 6, 1997.
A retired plumber for E.B. Sams Plumbing Co., he was a member of Fairview Baptist Church, Chesapeake.
Survivors include his wife, Stella Hardison Saunders; daughter, Mary Ayers of Virginia Beach; stepdaughter, Linda Garrish of Ocracoke, N.C.; stepson, Kenneth Austin of Chesapeake; three sisters, Frances Chamberlain of Winston-Salem, N.C., and Ethel Saunders and Virginia Harris, both of Roanoke; 13 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday in Fairview Baptist Church, Chesapeake, by the Rev. Gary McClenney. Burial will be in Rosewood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends in Graham Funeral Home, South Norfolk Chapel, from 4 to 5 p.m. Sunday and at the residence at all other times.
