BERTHA L. HAYNES

Bertha Lamb Haynes, 77, wife of the late Willis Leon Haynes, died March 3, 1997, at the 3100 block of MacDonald Road after a lengthy illness.

She was born of the late David and Mary E. Lamb of Princess Anne County, Virginia Beach. She was predeceased by two sons, Joseph S. Haynes and Alvin J. Haynes. Survivors include a son, Leroy E. Haynes of Norfolk; two daughters, Barbara H. Lovelace of Virginia Beach and Delores H. Revels of Norfolk; brother, Thomas Lamb of Norfolk; two sisters, Hazel Ferebee and Georgia Knox of Virginia Beach; 11 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Viewing of the remains will begin today at Graves Funeral Home. Also, family will receive friends at 1706 Selden Ave., Apt. B, Norfolk, today.

Funeral services will be conducted by the Rev. David B. Williams at 1:30 p.m. Monday in Mason Memorial Church of God in Christ, 744 Goff St., Norfolk. Friends may assemble with the family at 12:30 p.m. for a funeral procession to the church from 3118 MacDonald Road, Virginia Beach. Burial will be in Jones Memorial Park, Virginia Beach.
