Byrdie L. McClannan died Thursday, March 6, 1997, in a local hospital.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Robert; three sons, R. Wayne of Norfolk, Steven R. of Chapel Hill, N.C., and Edward L. McClannan of Charlotte, N.C.; daughter, Sue A. Ellis of Chapel Hill; brother, George Smith of Harpers Ferry, W.Va.; sister, Myrmie Buzzy of Fairfax, Va.; 15 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren.
She was a member of Haygood United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends at Rosewood Chapel of Kellum Funeral Home Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. A graveside service will be conducted at 10 a.m. in Woodlawn Memorial Park Monday with the Rev. Alan Q. Reifsnyder officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Family Memorial, c/o Wayne McClannan, 5321 Ashby St., Norfolk, Va. 23502. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
