ATLAS V. CLARY

Atlas V. Clary, 64, of the 2800 block of Flagg Road, died March 9, 1997, in his residence.

A native of Freeman, Va., he retired as general superintendent at Birdsong Peanuts and was a member of Reddy Creek Baptist Church, Freeman. Mr. Clary was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War.

He was the beloved husband of Kathy H. Clary and beloved father of daughter, Diane Lynn Roberson; son, Eric V. Clary, both of Suffolk, and his two stepchildren, Belvin H. Bangle III of Elizabeth City, N.C., and Kathy Rosnato of Portsmouth. Also surviving are two sisters, Edith Powell and Fannie Wiley, both of Freeman; and four grandchildren, Alexis, Ryan, Allison and Danielle.

A funeral will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd., by Dr. Dennis D. Buchholz. Burial will be in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 8 tonight. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
