Marvin ``Bill Tom'' Ray Strawhand, 59, a retired carpenter of the 500 block of 13th St., died March 11, 1997, in a local hospital.

Survivors include his mother, Cordie Strawhand; wife, ``Dotty'' Murphy Strawhand; two sons, Michael Lee and David Ray Strawhand; five sisters, Francis Thieman and husband, Gene, Lorine McCoy and husband, Charles, Betty McClain, Edna Lee and husband, Joe, Barbara Murden and husband, Lloyd Jr., all of Virginia Beach; a brother, Buddy Strawhand and wife, Carole, of Knotts Island, N.C.; and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday at Princess Anne Memorial Park by the Rev. Tommy J. Taylor. Maestas Funeral Home, Baltic Avenue Chapel, is handling arrangements.
