WILLIAM H. BROTHERS SR.

William Henry Brothers Sr., of the 2700 block of Westminster Ave., died March 10, 1997, in a local hospital.

A Norfolk native, he was the widower of Marjorie Brothers and a member of Shiloh Baptist Church, Norfolk, Eureka Lodge and the Retired Men's Leisure Club. He retired as a truck driver of the U.S. Postal Service after 30 years service.

Survivors include a daughter, Marjorie B. Thompson of Decatur, Ga.; a son, William H. Brothers Jr. of Norfolk; three sisters, Gladys D. Shigg of Columbus, Ga., Cora Lee Rowell of Columbus, Delores Holley of Nashville, Tenn.; a brother, Joseph L. Brothers of Norfolk; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

A funeral will be conducted at noon Saturday in Shiloh Baptist Church by Dr. John Foster. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. The body will be placed in church at 10 a.m. Saturday. The family and friends will assemble at the residence at 11 a.m. for the procession to the church. Hale Funeral Home is handling arrangements. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
