ELFIE B. WALKER

Elfie Beck Walker, 91, widow of Hunter Gordon Walker died Monday March 10, 1997, at her home in Williamsburg Landing.

A native of Norfolk, she resided there until 1958 when the Seaboard Airline Railroad transferred her husband to Richmond. In 1985 she moved to Williamsburg. She was a member of Williamsburg Presbyterian Church and a former member of First Presbyterian churches in Norfolk and in Richmond.

Mrs. Walker is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Charlotte Walker Hill and Burton P. Hill of Newport News; her son and daughter-in-law, Douglas Gordon Walker and Ellen M. Walker of Prescott, Ariz.; a grandson, Douglas Gordon Walker Jr. of London, England; and a granddaughter, Nancy Page Hill of Newport News.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Norfolk, by the Rev. Harold McKeithan. Memorials may be made to a favorite charity. Bucktrout of Williamsburg is in charge of arrangements. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
