Badger Garland Early, 80, of the 2900 block of Scotia Drive, died March 13, 1997, in Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.
A retired refrigerant and air conditioning service mechanic for Cox Powell Corp., Norfolk, he was a Bertie County, N.C., native and member of Connaritsa Baptist Church, Aulander, N.C.
Survivors include his wife, Pencie Harris Early; two daughters, Theresa Parker of Roxobel, N.C., and Effie Vice of Kelford, N.C.; foster son, David Hayman of Virginia Beach; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday in Highland Memorial Gardens, Ahoskie, by the Rev. Jimmy Bennett. The family will receive friends in Garrett Funeral Home, Ahoskie, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Saturday. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
