Retired Navy Lt. Philip Carlyle Krouse, 73, a loving and devoted husband and father, died Saturday, March 8, 1997, in Southampton Memorial Hospital, Franklin.
A former resident of South Bend, Ind., he had lived in Franklin in recent years with his wife of 43 years, Charlotte Goodwin Krouse.
Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons, Ian Krouse and his wife, Chika, Kevin Krouse; a daughter, Elizabeth Krouse; a sister, Jane Hartman; three grandchildren; two nieces and a nephew.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Franklin Congregational Christian Church, 412 N. High St., Franklin, by the Rev. Edmund Pickup Jr. and the Rev. Lafayette Wilkins. Burial will be in Arlington National Cemetery, Washington, D.C., at 1 p.m. Wednesday. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service. Memorial donations may be made to Franklin Congregational Christian Church, 412 N. High St., Franklin; Emmanuel Episcopal Church, 400 N. High St., Franklin; or to a charity of your choice.
