John H. Robinson, 69, of the 2000 block of Richmond Ave., died March 12, 1997, in Portsmouth General Hospital.
Born in Campbell, Ala., he was an aircraft engine mechanic and served as a supervisor for the Norfolk Naval Air Station, retiring with 34 years of service. He was a member and usher of St. Paul A.M.E. Church, Portsmouth.
Survivors include his wife, Luebertha M. Robinson; four daughters, Linda Jackson-Drake of Virginia Beach, Zenobia Anderson, Cynthia Ann Small, both of Portsmouth and Yolanda Williams of Chesapeake; two sons, Kenneth Ray Robinson of Chesapeake and John Earl Robinson of Orlando, Fla.; three sisters, Anni Gosa of Greenwood, Miss., Georgia Tucker of Chicago, and Agaphene Tate of Detroit; a brother, Eddie Robinson of Bellwood, Ill.; 13 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday in St. Paul A.M.E. Church by the Rev. Charles L. Harvin. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, Chesapeake. Viewing at Corprew Funeral Home will begin at noon today. The body will be taken to the church at 10 a.m. Monday. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
