Louis James Miller, 82, of the 3700 block of Concord Drive, died Saturday March 15, 1997, in a Norfolk hospital.
A native of Edenton, N.C., he was the widower of Hilda C. Miller and was a retired farmer.
Survivors include a daughter, Katherine M. Sutton of Suffolk; a son, Louis James Miller Jr. of Chesapeake; a sister, Glennie Robertson of Chesapeake; a brother, Frank Miller of Edenton, N.C.; five grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Churchland Baptist Church Cemetery by Pastor Jim Wall. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will be at Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Monday and other times at 4212 Woodland Drive, Chesapeake.
