BESSIE J. KING

Bessie J. King, 89, of the 100 block of Carol Lane, died March 14, 1997, in Chesapeake General Hospital.

Born in Jacksonville , N.C., she attended First Church of Christ Holiness USA, Norfolk. She retired 20 years ago as a dietitian of U.S. Public Health with 35 years service.

She was predeceased by her only son, Charles H. King and a granddaughter, Jackqueline King.

Survivors include a grandchild, Mary D. King of North Carolina; three great-grandchildren, Keisha Hogan of Chesapeake, Dementra king of New York, Ira King of Savanna, Ga.; four great-great-grandchildren, Rakeith Hogan of Chesapeake, Jordan Hogan, Tiffany Hogan, Malik Hogal, all of Chesapeake; first cousins, Annabelle Moore of Chesapeake, Sadie Trotman of Chesapeake; a devoted cousin, Sandra Porter of Chesapeake; and a host of relatives and friends.

A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday in First Church of Christ Holiness USA-Norfolk, by Elder Lindsey Jones. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. Family and friends will assemble at 120 Carol Lane, Chesapeake, at 10:15 a.m. Tuesday for the procession to the church. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
