A retiree, he was born in Java, Va.
Survivors include a sister, Mildred Roark Johnson of Honolulu, Hawaii; a sister-in-law, Sudie Roark of Keeling, Va.; a special friend, Roland Binette of Norfolk; girlfriend, Carolyn Mofford of Greensville, S.C.; and Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Gaylord of Norfolk.
