Lee Broughton DeShields, 92, died March 15, 1997, in Southampton Memorial Hospital.
A former resident of Norfolk and Virginia Beach, he had made his home at The Village at Woods Edge for the past two years. Mr. DeShields was preceded in death by his wife, Arlene Blalock.
He was a retired salesman for Willis Wayside Furniture Store of Virginia Beach and was past president of Tidewater Antique Dealers Association. He was a Norfolk artist included among a dozen in the country as an expert in China restoration. Some of his work was done at the Chrysler Museum and the MacArthur Memorial.
He is survived by his nephew and his wife, Mr. and Mrs. Leon W. DeShields of Franklin; and numerous other nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today in Holland-Rideout Funeral Home, Franklin. A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Olive Branch Cemetery, Portsmouth, by Dr. Alan Campbell of Hunterdale United Church of Christ. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
