Russell E. Mills of the 2000 block of Colane Road died March 15, 1997, in his residence.
A retired employee of the Hercules Fence Co., he was a member of Norview Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Kathleen Mills; daughter, Pat Soady and her husband, Bill, of Virginia Beach; four grandsons, Scott Soady, Reid Soady, Todd Soady and Tim Soady; four great-grandchildren.
A graveside funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Thursday in Rosewood Memorial Park by Dr. Jerry O. Campbell. The family will receive friends in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday.
