MARGARET S. CLEMENTS

Margaret Elsie Smith Clements, 84, formerly of the 1500 block of Versailles Ave., died Monday, March 17, 1997, in a Virginia Beach health care center.

She was the first church secretary at Fairmont Park United Methodist Church, Norfolk. Mrs. Clements was born in Emporia and was the daughter of the late Elsie Maude Gilliam and Thomas Jackson Smith and was the widow of Edward Lee Clements. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Margaret Lee Clements Johnson.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church. As Margaret has lived with her Lord for so many years, today she is with Him forever.

Survivors include her sister, Grace S. Terry of Virginia Beach; and several close and beloved nephews, a niece, and many great-nieces and nephews.

A graveside funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 19, 1997, in Forest Lawn Cemetery by the Rev. Robert A. Edwards. Memorial contributions may be made to First United Methodist Church or to Fairmont Park United Methodist Church. Cox Funeral Home is in charge. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
