Vernon Augustus Johnson, 85, of the 200 block of Median Circle died March 18, 1997, in his home.
An employee of Norfolk and Western for 35 years, he retired in 1976. He was a Suffolk native.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret Johnson; brother, Joseph Johnson of Portsmouth; two sisters-in-law; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
A funeral will be conducted at 12:30 p.m. Saturday in Pretlow and Sons Funeral Home Chapel, Chesapeake, by the Rev. Armstead Fisher. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park, Chesapeake. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
