AGNES B. SWINDELL

Agnes Britt Swindell, 76, died March 18, 1997, in a local hospital.

A retired teacher, she worked for Norfolk City Public Schools for 30 years. She was a Newton Grove, N.C., native and the widow of Luther M. Swindell. She was a member of Bayside Baptist Church.

Survivors include two sisters, Nell Braswell of Fayetteville, N.C., and Sallie Oliver of Greenville, N.C.; brother, Mitchell Britt of Winter Haven, Fla.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Bayside Chapel, by the Rev. Don Wilson. Burial will be in Rosewood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Bayside Baptist Church or a charity of one's choice.
