Jean U. Gaines, known as Ursula, 70, of the 700 block of Marvin Ave., died March 18, 1997, in her residence.
Born in Jacksonville, Fla., she retired as a telephone operator and also worked part-time as a store clerk.
Survivors include her uncle, Lewis E. Jones of Mount Airy, Md.; several cousins; and special ``adopted'' daughter, Lottie Bullard of Norfolk.
