DORIS H. LINDAUER

Doris Hanvey Lindauer, 90, of the 1000 block of Leckie St., died March 28, 1997, in her home.

Mrs. Lindauer, a native of Portsmouth, was the widow of Clifton F. Lindauer. She was a graduate of University of North Carolina Women's College, Greensboro, and had formerly taught school in Greensboro and Portsmouth. She was a member of Park View Baptist Church, a former member of the Portsmouth Junior Women's Club and was a member of the Portsmouth Women's Club and the Beazley Senior Citizens Center.

Survivors include two daughters, Carolyn Hanvey Bemis and her husband Ben of Cocoa Beach, Fla., Beverly Lindauer Sullivan and her husband John of Portsmouth; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will held at 3 p.m. Monday in Olive Branch Cemetery by the Rev. Robert V. Forehand. Friends may join the family from 3 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Foster Funeral Home, Portsmouth. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Park View Baptist Church. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
