James Kenneth Thigpen, 83, died Thursday evening, March 27, 1997.
A native of Oconee, Ga., he was the son of the late Lula Flanders and Alfred Lee Thigpen. He was a retired department store owner.
Survivors include his wife, Olive Jordan Thigpen; a son and his wife, Alfred and Jane Thigpen of Cleveland; a brother, John Hugh Thigpen of Hertford, formerly of Windsor; and a granddaughter.
A funeral will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday in Brunswick United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Milledgeville, Ga. Swindell Funeral Home, Hertford, N.C., provided information. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
