FREDERICK R. DAILEY SR.

Retired Navy Chief Warrant Officer Frederick R. Dailey Sr., 86, of the 2300 block of Paramont Ave., died March 28, 1997.

Born June 8, 1910, in North Dakota, he was a Navy veteran of World War II and Korea, retiring as a chief warrant officer of the U.S. Navy after 30 years of service. He was also retired from Newport News Shipbuilding as a machinist.

Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Bettie Dailey; a daughter, Estella M. Barnett of Chesapeake; three sons, Frederick Ralph Dailey of Chesapeake, Alonzo C. Dailey of Suffolk, Curtis T. Peterson of Athema, Tenn.; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

A funeral will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Monday in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Indian River Chapel, by Pastor Dave Libengood. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
