JOE F. CAPELL

Joe Frank Capell, 66, of the 3000 block of Forrester Lane, died March 27, 1997, in a local hospital.

Mr. Capell was a parishioner of St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church. He worked for 37 years at the Norfolk Southern Railroad and was an intermodal supervisor in Chesapeake. He was the past president of the Tidewater Transportation Club, a member of the Hampton Roads Traffic Club, the C.I. Travel Club, Couples Club, AARP, Plaza Civic League, a life member of the Virginia Beach Recreation Club, and was a very active participant of the senior olympics.

Survivors include his wife, Margaret Mary Ellen Capell of Virginia Beach; a son, Michael Joseph Capell and his wife, Gretchen Lynn, of Courtland, Va.; his sister, Rose Carron of Millstadt, Ill.; and many friends.

A memorial mass will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 5, 1997,in St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church by Father Anselm Ober.O.S.B. Kellum Funeral Home, Bonney Road Chapel is handling arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Leukemia Society of America, Virginia Chapter, 2101 Executive Drive, Box 21, Hampton, VA 23666. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
