ROBERT A. MAULDIN

``Rambo'' Robert Adam Mauldin, 8, died Friday, March 27, 1997, after a courageous five-year struggle against cancer. He was at home with his family and friends. He was born Nov. 7, 1988, to Robert D. ``Bob'' and Georgia Ann Wilson Mauldin.

Besides his parents, Rambo is survived by a brother, Christopher Calvin Mauldin of the home; maternal grandparents, Calvin and Mary Jane Saunders of Wanchese, N.C.; maternal great-grandmother, Mildred Nelson of Hampton, Va.; paternal grandmother, Elizabeth Midgette of Aydlette, N.C.; Godparents, Hatton and Jackie Midgett of Manteo, N.C. and a special aunt and uncle, Bobby and Barbara Nelson of Hampton.

Funeral services will be held at Bethany United Methodist Church on Wednesday, April 2, 1997, at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Billy Holliday and Chaplin Evelyn Keever officiating. Burial will follow in the Manteo Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Twiford Colony Chapel Funeral Home on Tuesday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
