EDMOND W. WHITE

Edmond William ``Whitey'' White, 72, of the 700 block of South Lake Circle, died Friday March 28, 1997, at his residence.

Mr. White was born in Cohoes, N.Y., and the son of the late John and Mary Rigney White. He retired from the Norfolk Redevelopement and Housing Authority after 15 years of service and was Marince Corps veteran of World War 11.

Survivors include his wife, Edith B. White; his daughter, Donna White Mills of Virginia Beach; his three sons, William P. White and Mark S. White, both of Chesapeake, R. Wayne White of Yorktown, Va.; his sister, Vivan Manella of Troy, N.Y.; nine grandchildren and two great-greatgrandchildren.

The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Oman Funeral Home, Great Bridge, by the Rev. Christian Haydinger. Viewing will begin Monday with the family receiving friends at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the Chesapeake Fallen Firefighters Memorial, P.O.
