HARRY T. HILLIARD JR.

Harry T. Hilliard Jr., 81, a retired department project manager with the Navy Department, died March 30, 1997, in a Virginia Beach hospital.

Mr. Hilliard was a native of Richmond. He was the son of the late Harry T. Hilliard Sr. and Sarah Wakefield Hilliard. He was a member of Baylake United Methodist Church in Virginia Beach, the Norfolk Sports Club and Virginia Beach Senior Golf Club. He was a past member of the Lynnhaven Lions Club and had a great interest in sports and scouting.

Survivors include his wife, Iris S. Hilliard; a son and his wife, H. Tom Hilliard III and Diana Hilliard of Raleigh, N.C.; a daughter and her husband, Kay H. Childs and Sandy Childs of Cockeysville, Md.; and four grandchildren, Meagan and Jimmy Hilliard and Jackie and Lauren Childs.

A church service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Baylake United Methodist Church by the Rev. Ted David and Dr. Carl Haley. Visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m Tuesday in H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Laskin Road Chapel. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Frankfort Habilitation Inc., 3755 U.S. 127 S., Frankfort, Ky. 40601.
